And the service manager also told me that the diesel tech there has 20+ years of experience and has done about the 30 of these so I went a head and looked up the hours on Mitchell and All Data to see if the 2 days could be right. He proceeded to tell me that if I could change it in a few hours I got myself a job. I told him it shouldn't take more then a few hrs maybe a little bit longer but not 2 days by any means. Mine is telling me that it is a 2 day job to change the pump. Also dont let the dealership feed you any BS. A new pump is about $750 (from the dealership I go to. To take it out you must remove the intake and turbo heat shield, then you will see a cover in the rear of the block (thats the HPOP cover), remove that and the pump is right there. ![]() ![]() Its about $3000 to get it replaced if you dont have a warranty. But anyways the HPOPs are known to go on these. I lost the HPOP and IPR on thanksgiving day while pulling my buddies truck (fortunately we had his truck on the trailer so we just hooked his up to the trailer and put mine on the trailer lol). ![]()
